Sustainability

 

 Sustainable packaging is the development of packaging involving the increased use of life cycle inventory and assessment to reduce the environmental impact and ecological footprint. Sustainability includes looking at the entire packaging supply chain from basic function, to marketing to the end of the package life and subsequently, rebirth. Sustainability requires analysis and documentation to look at the package design, choice of materials, processing and life cycle. 

 

InSight Packaging supports all sustainable packaging initiatives and practices by their partners including reusing and recycling packaging, light-weighting and using minimal packaging. Many of InSight Packaging's manufacturing partners have incorporated eco-friendly processes with the goal of reducing their carbon footprint, using more recycled materials and reusing more package components. Recent years have accelerated these efforts based on social movements, consumer pressure and regulation.
